Felix studied Cinematography at the National Film & Television School in London under the mentorship of Brian Tufano BSC (‘Trainspotting’, ‘Billy Elliot’).
During the course Felix won the ‘Book-to-Film Awards’ competition with his treatment for a promotional film-style trailer for the bestselling novel ‘The Outcast’ (written by Sadie Jones), which he then photographed and directed. He shot the commercial ‘Turnaround’ (Barnados), which won three awards at the 2009 Kodak Commercial Competiton Showcase, including 2nd Best In Brief Award. In March 2009 he graduated from the National Film & Television School, working as a freelance director of photography on films & commercials.
Two of his shortfilms have been nominated for ‘Best Cinematography’ and ‘Best Film’ at the Fujishorts Competition 2010. His graduation film ‘Cherry On the Cake’ has been shown at 31 international Film Festivals and has won various prizes, including ‘Best Student Shortfilm at the Chicago International Film Festival.
