Vita

Luzius grew up in Davos, an internationally well-known ski and wellness resort in the Swiss Alps. Due to growing up in this remote yet very international environment, Luzius appreciates beautiful landscapes equally as he does exciting cities. He learned to observe and appreciate the possibilities of any location, creating the perfect setting and atmosphere for the project at hand. Furthermore Luzius has strong social skills, which allows him not only to easily communicate with agencies and clients but also enables him to lead his cast to where he wants them. Being a well-traveled Swiss he can also use this skills in several languages (German, English, Portuguese, Spanish, French and Italian).

Never having seen an art school, let alone a film school from the inside, Luzius worked his way up from being a runner on commercial film sets to becoming one of the most watched young directors in Switzerland. After working on the production side in Zurich, New York and Rio de Janeiro for several years, he shot his first short film in Rio. To everyone’s surprise this small no-budget film was nominated by the Brazilian Film Academy for ‘Best Short Film’. One year later Luzius’ first music video for ‘Gimme tha Power’ by Pavilhao9 was nominated by MTV Brasil for ‘Best Rap Video’.

Back in Switzerland he started working for Snap Film and soon shot commercials and corporate films for clients like Carlsberg, Nestlé, Credit Suisse, Feldschösschen Beer, Edipress, Media Markt, Red Bull, Speedo, and the Swiss National Health Council. Agencies include Publicis, Saatchi Saatchi, Spillmann/Felser/Leo Burnett, Demner, Merlicek & Bergmann, crbasel, AngebaultProtenier, adart, the Swiss Army Film Service.

Luzius moved to Berlin in 2008.‘Agent Daddy’ represents him worldwide (except Switzerland).
